NOTE: If you are a first-time tax filer in Ohio, or you previously filed with a non-Ohio address, there are a couple of steps you must complete before you can electronically file. Please fax at least two pieces of ID (driver's license, state identification card, Social Security card, U.S. passport or military ID) including your birth date which the department will confirm. Once verified, your information will be entered into the Ohio tax system and you will be able to register on Ohio I-File. To initiate the registration process, fax your request and necessary information to our I-File registration group at 1-206-600-6113 or call us at 1-800-282-1780. In the event we need to contact you please include a daytime telephone number or email address.
