Ohio Department of Taxation Online Services - eForms

Welcome to Ohio eForms - Income Tax

eFormsUse your computer to fill out your return electronically

The Ohio Department of Taxation has developed yet another convenient way for taxpayers to file individual and school district income tax returns electronically.

eForms are Adobe Acrobat PDF forms that allow you to fill in your tax return information online – much as you would fill out a paper return – then print, save or submit the return directly to us. (Adobe Reader 7.0.5 or greater is required; download the latest version of Adobe Reader at www.adobe.com.)

eForms offer so many benefits:

  • Income tax eForms take care of most of the tax calculations for you.
  • Paperless processing saves money and time.
  • eForms enable us to provide you better customer service by simplifying the exchange of tax return information.

How it works

eForms will display an Ohio income tax return form on your computer screen. Next, just fill in the lines on the return that apply to you. eForms will do most of the math calculations and figure out the tax for you. After you complete the eForm return, either file the return electronically or print it out and send it to us in the mail. If you file electronically, you will be required to complete the online registration process. eForms will guide you through the registration and transmission of the return and provide you with a filing confirmation number.

You can learn more about the technical requirements as well as troubleshooting information here.

If you are using a MAC computer to file an eForm, you may need more specific troubleshooting information here.
