Ohio Business Gateway 2.0

Ohio's one-stop online shop for business tax filing is getting a major upgrade on March 30, 2009 with the debut of Ohio Business Gateway 2.0. OBG 2.0 is designed to further streamline the relationship between commerce and government by offering new tools that will make it easier for any business owner to file and pay sales tax, commercial activity tax, employer withholding, unemployment compensation contributions, workers' compensation premiums and municipal income taxes for nearly 500 cities and villages.

Major changes in OBG 2.0 include:

• tools that allow third-party users (CPAs, practitioners, representatives) to prepare and file reports on behalf of the business owner.

• improved navigation throughout the site.
• tools that allow the business owner holding the OBG account to specify the access level for each internal and third-party user.

• enhanced self-help maintenance features to allow for user name retrieval and password re-sets.

To get taxpayers acquainted with OBG 2.0 and its capabilities, the Ohio Deparment of Taxation has developed seven tutorials below that take new or current users through all steps of registering and filing.
