Ohio Tax Hall of Fame

Tax Commissioner Richard Levin and Carol Bessey

Ohio tax commissioner Richard A. Levin with 2007 inductee Carol Bessey, a former deputy tax commissioner.

The Ohio State and Local Tax Hall of Fame is a joint effort of the Ohio Department of Taxation and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. The Hall of Fame was created in 2001 to acknowledge the efforts of those individuals who have significantly contributed to the development, administration or operation of Ohio’s state tax system.

Honorees have served in both the public and private sectors. They range from tax administrators and elected officials to attorneys and practitioners. An individual is honored each January at the annual Ohio Tax Conference, held in Columbus.

If you know someone who's made a difference in the world of state and local taxes, complete a nomination form and mail it to Michael_McKinney@tax.state.oh.us.

Nominations may also be mailed to:
