Welcome to Ohio eForms - Mac Troubleshooting Recommendations

If you're using a Mac computer to file your eForms, the information on this page may be helpful to you.

It contains general technical information taxpayers might need to get eForms running on their home or office Mac computer. Troubleshooting tips will be posted here as well.

 

Please note: All eForms require Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® version 9.1 or greater. 

If you have an older version or have no Adobe Reader installed, please visit www.adobe.com to download the latest version.

If eForms will not work properly on your computer:

  • Verify that your Mac computer has Adobe Reader 9.1or above installed.

(Note: If you are able to open a PDF document that doesn’t necessarily mean that your Mac computer has Adobe Reader installed. Mac OS can open a PDF document without having the Adobe Reader installed, by using its internal Mac Preview program. But with this program, eForms will not work properly.)

  • If you have an older version, we suggest that you uninstall it before installing the new version of Adobe Reader.
  • After installing the Adobe Reader as stated above, close this window to return to the eForms page.
